The hospital
The hospital Our Lady with the Rose, which you are going to discover throughout this tour, was founded in 1242 by Alix de Rosoit, a French princess, lady-in-waiting to the queen Blanche of Castile and widow of Arnould IV of Oudenaarde, great bailiff of Flanders and lord of Lessines. Their court of arms is displayed in memory of them.
