Association of Friends of Our Lady with the Rose Hospital
Dear Madam, Sir and friends,
In these first days of the new year 2010 it is once again time to let you know about the progress of our restoration project and the developments of both tourism and culture activities of Our Lady with the Rose Hospital.
As you may already know … you are able to bring your support to activities developed on-site at the Hospital by becoming a patron member of the Association of Friends of Our Lady with the Rose Hospital.
This association was created in the early 1990s to gather funds for the 750th anniversary commemorations of the founding of the hôtel-Dieu of Lessines back in 1992. Today, its hundreds of members, bewitched by the Hospital, are united in the wish to be close partners in the various activities set up by the Our Lady with the Rose Hospital, helping the team in charge to manage their many projects. We are thus able to rely on the dedication of many association members to ensure, amongst other things, the smooth running of the reception and the guided tours of the Museum.
The annual membership fees paid out by well-wishing patrons has also, over the last years, enabled us to have some outstanding collection items restored to their former glory. Items such as pictures, pieces of furniture, relics etc. As well, we have enriched our collections with, for example, the recent purchase of antique medical and pharmaceutical collector pieces and some very interesting books on the history of Medicine. These collection items are very important in that they will make it possible for us, this winter, to put the finishing touches on the medical showcase in the two sick rooms.
We would be most honoured and pleased to welcome you as a member of our Association of Friends of Our Lady with the Rose Hospital. You may pay your annual membership fee for 2006 by depositing funds on the bank account 732-0033463-49 for a sum of :
